Here are a few of the songs that I’ve written over the years (more coming soon)
The Moon is Halfway to Wednesday
This is a crankie (art that you “crank”) that one of my favorite artists and people Sandi Howell created for my song “The Moon is Halfway to Wednesday”
The song is written for my parents and all the other parents who met immediately after WWII. The soldiers came home and were earnestly trying to carry on with their lives. The place to meet future partners were at the community dances that were taking place in every town, city, village big enough to have a community hall. My parents met at the Union Bay Community Hall where they went to dance to the strains of the small local band – that could include any combination of instruments that happened to live there.
Thank you for the beautiful art Sandi! http://www.sandihowell.com/
I’m gonna get me some Viagra – book a room on the Niagara – and try to have a Second Honeymoon
Another romantic love song…
